1) Will my door arrive assembled?
There are two option. The less expensive option is unassembled because the
shipping cost is less. You door will be shipped as a knocked-down unit, in
three separate (and easier to carry) boxes.
If you would like to pay more for shipping, your door will arrive pre-hung in one
large crate. The door panels and hinges will be installed into frame of the door
already. It will be ready to install.
2) Can your doors be used as interior and exterior doors?
YES. Our doors are perfect for both applications. Typically, interior doors do not
have a threshold. Just mark on the order if your door is interior or exterior.
3) How do I install my door?
Door installation is best left to professionals. Most likely, you have a friend,
local contractor or door company who knows how to install doors. Seek their
assistance for measuring and installation. Proper door installation is very
important. There will be general instructions on door installation included with
your door.
4) Do I need to paint my door within a certain period of time for protection
sake?
If you are buying a door without hardware, it will be primed only. You should
paint your door within a week.
If you are buying a complete system, your door comes painted white. We have
a paint process which includes several coats of primer and
acrylic/thermoplastic paint. The door is then oven-baked. Your door is complete
when it arrives. You may paint it any color you want from there.
5) What if I do not need a frame?
All of our doors come pre-hung. This insures a perfect fit and seal. You will
receive all necessary frame parts. Additional hardware (levers, deadbolt, etc.) is
included in a Complete System purchase only.
